The Initiative for Kosovo ''(Albanian: NISMA për Kosovën)'' also known as NISMA, is a new political party in Kosovo formed by Fatmir Limaj and Jakup Krasniqi, two former members and co-founders of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK). Limaj is party leader. Secretary Jakup Krasniqi's involvement in the Pronto Affair wiretapping scandal was the culmination of split of DPK. Sami Lushtaku (mayor of Skenderaj and DPK leader) together with Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaci and Adem Grabovci, had insulted the Chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo Jakup Krasniqi and offended citizens of Mališevo, referring to them as dog walkers. ==History==
In the Kosovo local elections, 2013 Limaj abandoned DPK to supports Civic Initiative for Malishevo (Albanian: Iniciatve Qytetare per Malishevën) and (winning) mayoral candidate Ragip Begaj, ending 15 years of DPK government. Kosovo Liberation Army leader and DPK co-founder left the party with Jakup Krasniqi Chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo. Jakup Krasniqi was elected secretary of the national council of the Party.〔(Limaj dhe Krasniqi shpalosin "Nismën për Kosovën" )〕〔(Limaj dhe Krasniqi përcaktohen për emrin “Nisma Qytetare për Kosovën )〕
